☆019-And how the green grows there.

It looks like I officially can't get into my own home. I knew I should have brought a machete back with me from work.

What?

Vines. They've covered my door and sealed it shut.

...What vines?

[Pause as someone gets up to check outside window.]

Huh. How did I miss those.

Possibly because you've been a bit of a hermit, lately.

Also, nice to see you're alive and kicking.

Do you want to borrow something from the shop?

Do you have anything similar to machetes there? I was thinking of just going back to the Yard, but since it's getting dim it'd be safer to just pop by the shop.

I think we do, actually! You can show Crochet this if she's in a difficult mood.

Ha, I'll be sure to. Though you think she'd be used to seeing me around by now.

Oh, dear. [She's, uh. Laughing at you, Gene.] Well, you could always live in the Wilderness for a time? If it is safe; I have not heard one way or the other about it.

But if you prefer a roof, I do have a couch you are free to use. I do not believe that 00 or Composer would begrudge you using it for a short time, though they are free to correct me if this is not the case.

I do need to check the Wilderness report, actually. I'm not sure if it's the same as what I last heard it was.

The offer's appreciated, though I actually think I'll have access to a bed somewhere, if it comes to that.

Very well; though the offer remains open, should you need it at some future date.

Again, it's appreciated. Who knows, at this rate there may be others who want to take you up on the offer. I'm sure I'm not the only one the vines have caught out.

Would a saw work? There are tools I technically paid rent for at the construction site. Granted, currently they are being used.

It might, though it'd be a shame to deprive your workers of their tools. Krile seems to have me covered, but if none of the blades work I may have to take you up on that.

Alright. If the vines are still persistent, I can free up some space.

Unless if you prefer a couch, which I don't have.

[Did it just get a few degrees colder in here or is it just him?]

I was hoping to take up the space I usually do when away from home, so yes, I'd be grateful if you could.

If all else fails, have them covered the windows?

Reply

live_ringer March 17 2011, 04:30:48 UTC
Yep, got the windows, too. But that is less surface area, so it may take less effort than uncovering the doors.

Just be watchful of any new vines creeping up behind you.

Heh, I figured. live_ringer March 18 2011, 04:53:46 UTC
Will do. They certainly don't seem to have a problem with coming at all angles.
