[twins cat verse 001:] Get back honky cat

The job was to only take a week; Arthur didn't like being separated from his brother for that long (as twins they had rarely been apart growing up and that extended into their adulthood) but since the present job hadn't needed an extractor - and Daniel had his own job to perform in Germany - Arthur was keeping most of his attention focused on the ( Read more... )

Eames doesn't mind the delay in flight as much as Arthur had seemed to, staring up at the red letters rolling across the screen as if he'd never seen something so infuriating-- which is surprising, considering who he was standing next to. But Arthur has a thing with being at a job when he's said he would, and takes the airlines incompetence as a personal offense. Instead of risking getting hissed at, Eames had just let him go stomp off to the food court ( ... )

At that touch Arthur's ears stick up and then go flat against his head as he turns to Eames with an almost snarled hiss. If he hadn't been eating, he would have smelled him sooner.

Nearly through gritted teeth, "What the hell are you doing?" Touching, nipping, or grooming ears was an intimate gesture - either between lovers or mates. Eames was neither to Arthur, so the orange tabby doing that was infuriatingly presumptuous.

Arthur's ears slip through Eames' fingers easily, almost blending entirely into his hair and Eames thinks its kind of fetching. Then again, he thinks this about most of Arthur's attributes, so it isnt an entirely surprising sentiment. He holds his hands up to show Arthur his palms, as if that might placate the other's hissing.

"You were twitching darling," Eames lets his own ear flick toward the sound of a distant boarding call- not theirs- before swiveling back towards Arthur. He smiles, as if his following excuse is going to be the whole truth- or any of it, even. "Just thought you could use something else to focus on."

Glaring at the other, no longer hissing, but he didn't need to with that look, ears still flat against his head. Setting his elbow on the table and indicating his phone, tail still holding what was essentially his half-eaten cup of noodles, "I was focusing on something important, Eames. Just because my ears were twitching it doesn't mean I wasn't perfectly content with what I was doing."

Turning his attention back to his phone as he was notified of a new text, he mumbles, "You should try focusing on work sometime. You might end up understanding the concept."
