Baby Bobbi Bear

I'm in desperate need of DPNs. There are certain knitting projects I want to try, but rather than use straight needles and sew up the seams of a flat knitted piece, I'd prefer to knit in the round with circulars or DPNs. I know it seems easier to knit a flat piece, but I'm really bad at sewing up seams - they come out looking quite dreadful. I have ( Read more... )

Haha, that's okay, Karen. :D I can always go to any yarn store around here, but I like the convenience of having the supplies sent straight to me.

Free accounts can do nifty stuff like that! :D To make things italic, but put the text in between 'emphasis' tags, like below:
Italicize me!.

And to make hearts, use the code: ♥

That is one cute knitted bear! We have a great knitting store here in town who has clover bamboo needles at a reasonable price. I think she's going to start a Japanese yarn and supply website soon. I'll let you know when she does. In the meantime, if you need some now, I can throw a pair into your package. ;) just say the word... (and the size)

Oh, if only I hadn't just ordered the needles from Jimmy Beans! =O Just got the confirmation e-mail right now. They're about $8.50 for a set of Clover bamboo DPNs. I guess that's an okay price, considering I've paid anywhere between $4-12 for bigger Clover needles in the past. I ordered US 3 and US 6.

Thanks for your thoughtfulness, Emily! ♥

aww those bears are lovely! I might have to try making them :) Although I currently have about a bazillion other things to knit!

Has your little whale arrived yet?

Yes! The whale just arrived. ^__^ Thank you so much. She's quite tired after the long journey, but she's doing well. I was just about to post a journal entry on her. ;)

And thanks for the postcard of New Zealand! It looks so beautiful there. ♥
