Slightly not exactly about your post but: I am excited to read Mindy Kaling's book! I am waiting until I can afford it on my Kindle! I downloaded a sample and can't wait to read it!
I'd been looking forward to reading her book for months. It doesn't read like an autobiography, just a series of anecdotes and bits of comical advice. She makes a few Jane Austen references too, so that's a bonus for me. ;)
I hope you get to buy it soon! Kindle book prices are kind of expensive, IMO. They should put it on sale since it's a best seller. Maybe you can get on the waiting list at the library.
Now, for your question. Do I feel extra crafty during the holiday season?
Well, not always, but yes sometimes. For instance, 2 out of the 4 years I was at work in this one place, I gave out gifts which I either made myself, or at least personalized somehow. I just realized I didn't take pictures of the first ones I made. Tsk. =( Wish I did. But I took pictures of the last ones. Maybe I should post those one of these days.
Also, I like trying different ways of wrapping gifts for the godchildren.
That's great that you get creative with the gift wrapping. I like to do that too if I have the time. Usually I'm scrambling to finish making the actual gift, that when it comes time to wrap it, I just end up throwing it in a gift bag. LOL. I hope you post pictures of what you've made!
Too cute! The bear looks fairly tall in the pic by the way, can't believe he only stands 11cm tall. That must've been such quite an itty bitty task at times.
I love that you're making Christmas gifts for people yourself, what kind of projects do you have planned for that?
I guess it's all in the way I photograph my amigurumi - I make them appear larger than they really are. ;) Yes, the limbs were more difficult to make than the head. It's the tiny stuff that tends to be more work.
I'm doing the usual for Christmas gifts - amigurumi and scarves. I took out my knitting needles again (I've mainly been crocheting for the past few years) and made a scarf last week. I've crocheted two other scarves and hope to finish crocheting another one this weekend. My hands have been busy this past month!
Yes, I finished the book a while ago. It's laugh-out-loud funny at times. Mindy's very honest and tells stories about her life humorously and without affectation. I think you'll enjoy it!
