The Host is a good book, very hard to get into it took me ages to read it but once it gets going its brilliant...I couln't put it down.

If you like the Twilight books you should try reading the House of Night books, they are good, kinda like Twilight mixed into Harry Potter...in a good way. They arent the best written books but they are un-put-down-able...love them :)

I gave up on The Host a long time ago. I don't think I will ever finish reading it. I read about 18 chapters and still couldn't get into it. So I didn't think it was worth my time to finish the other 40-50 chapters.

I've read great reviews for it, and I've also read horrible reviews. =\ Unfortunately, my opinion leans toward the horrible side.
