Oh I'm so happy to see you enjoying Jane Austen, Kat! I've been trying to get a post up about The Complete Jane Austen for some time now, but we're almost to the end, now. It's been really fabulous, though. I really liked Northanger Abbey.
I'm a big Austen fan. I enjoy rereading her books now and then. She's so witty, which is exactly what brings me back over and over again.
I'm looking forward to seeing Penelope, it looks like a sweet movie.

I basically missed all the stuff on PBS. ;P I kept forgetting to watch! I completely forgot about Sense and Sensibility this past weekend. I rented Emma and the always classic Pride and Prejudice, but I didn't get to see Northanger Abbey or the others. I'm so bummed! I'll have to catch them on DVD.

I agree with your sentiments on Jane Austen's wit. Her work is so funny, and it's crazy that a lot of what she wrote about is still relevant today. A mark of a brilliant writer, I'd say.
