Mhmm, saddest in all this is that it COULD have happened. I can imagine it wasn't much of a consolation for Scotty. Good story.

Lovely bit of background for Scotty, which was woefully lacking in the series. All we ever knew was that he came from the South originally, and never had a choice about whether or not to be "out". This is so sad, and - tragically - completely believable. I know because I'm a southern girl myself, and I have seen this kind of homophobia in real life, and it just sucks!

Thanks for a perfect little snippet of the kinds of things he must have endured in becoming the man we all know and love.

I hate that this country..world can be so stupid. I guess it's the people not the country/world but why people have to be so pig headed is beyond me. Why is it so hard to accept that there's no stopping who you love? People are scared of different but that's no excuse.

Love this story and Scotty in his glasses is a very nice image to take with me on my day.
