Which is better: Being in love with someone who doesn't even know you exist? Or being in love with someone who knows you exist, and doesn't care?

The first, I think because it enables this sort of magic to it all... which, sure enough, is a form of self-betrayal, but then again, so are most fantasies when one's self is involved. Still, I'd rather live in all that magic and its illusion than the cold fact of reality and science. Pfft!

Yes, I completely agree. I'm experiencing the latter at the moment and it hurts like hell, so even though it's almost fooling yourself it's better to believe that if only he knew who you were he would fall head over heels for you, it's better than knowing that he DOES know you and still doesn't want you.

Love stinks!
