I can't believe that I actually remembered my LJ log in as it's been over 3 years since I've been on here. I got the email notification that you had updated your journal so I knew my account was still active.

I too have lost those fannish feelings, but I do miss the sense of community that fandom brought to places like LJ & tumblr.

Same here. I do have a Twitter and Tumblr for my author persona, but so far it's mostly consumerism there, at least on the Tumblr front - I don't follow a single fandom account there, and you wouldn't believe how refreshing that is. Twitter, I use a bit for building professional relationships, the kind that "you never know when they'll come in handy". It's really too bad that I won't be able to pimp these books to my Tiva readers. I've missed so much! I remember when I use to be on here everyday to see what wonderful things you had posted. I had realized why I hadn't seen you on twitter for a long time, and this is the reason. I can't wait to get back into reading your writing, but sadly, today isn't the day. I have a portfolio to edit and print off before a career conference this weekend. Maybe one day, when I don't have my life pulling me down by my hair, I'll finally be able to read your amazing stories and blog.

I do have a tumblr and twitter for my author persona, but so far I'm not willing to share my pen name. I picked up too many assholes in NCIS fandom who would gleefully buy the books on Amazon just so they can leave a verified nasty review.
