I just spent over $500 on textbooks. I still have one book left to get, plus supplies for my drafting/rendering class, which'll probably cost at least another $50. So, my total spent for books and supplies will probably end up being over $600 and that's just insane. I'm a poor college student with no job who is somehow supposed to pay her own way ( Read more... )

Could you possibly find the books cheaper online? That can save you a decent chunk of change... can get tricky if the ordered book hasn't arrived by the time you have to return the bookstore book, but it's always somehow worked out for me. :p

Actually, I ordered about half of my books online. But the thing is, they're all design or art books, which tend to cost a small fortune to begin with. I got a used textiles book online for $95, and that was cheap.

Believe me, I wouldn't be taking art history if it weren't required for interior design majors. *shudder*
