looks like it is going up the swannee! Reading though the latest post on the Whiby LJ is rather worrying. It smacks of hostile take over to me, vote of no confidence and all that...course I am doin my own reading between my own lines but if they do change the weekend to the weekend after that is me buggered and I cannot imagine how faffed off John ( Read more... )

You are right on the hostile takeover front. This weekend, due to circumstances, I have been confronted full-on with the level of disorganisation, and dragged unwillingly into a messy divorce case. There is going to have to be a long, hard look taken at the financial reality of the Spa event ( ... )

hell I can imagine!

ou knw what, I personally will not miss the spa at all, if the traders are there and there are other events it will great.

The ONLY rteason we are thinking about tickets in october is that Gabi and Simon and John and Tash are all getting them and we will be left out which would be rather boring to say the least! I have no desire to buy tikets at all!

I am so glad I stopped trading in the Spa!

Yep, stuff will definitely run on the evenings. I don't quite know what, I'll know better once we hear back from Jo about her decision on the October dates.

I know there are a number of people booking weddings around the event and I have tried to explain this to Jo, but there are a lot of factors involved in her decision :/

all seems like it is dying on its ass to me...sorry to be negative, I do think it will live on in some way or another though with or without her.

Personally I am really looking forward to the steampunk weekend even though we won't know anyone but you!

sigh, what a shame when this happens to such wonderful events :(

What's the steampunk weekend? I'd like to look into that!

grateful for starting it, not grateful for not accepting help from people when they have offered.

But I do agree that it is what you make it, I feel more relieved now Marie has said things will still go on that weekend whatever happens to the spa.

though I can imagine you would be mighty peed as you really want to see BDC if they were to play.

I'm surprised it's still going at all really. There are literally NO goths in Limerick anymore (the thrid largest city in Ireland). That's one of the main reasons I got out of it. It's no fun if there's no one to show off in front of/nowhere to go. Of course, England is always a bit more subcultural than here, but all over goth seems to have died a death ( ... )
