In our school, and in many others, you can get into classes even if they are full by requesting permission from the professor. Just show up to classes every day even though you're not enrolled in them, sit in the front row, and participate. After a week, talk to your professor about your situation, and they can usually enroll you in the class even if it is full.
This trick is not very well-known, but it _does_ work. The reason is that people usually drop out anyway (either because they registered just to secure a spot, just in case), and because usually it isn't very difficult to let one other student in the class.
So don't worry about it and just do this, if you really want to take those classes. Good luck!
thanks, i didn' have too much luck, but i decided to take this extra time to focus on internships and work at the UT newspaper. Plus, I"ll try to make up for it in the summer.
i know about 20 people right now who are having scheduling difficulties because of advising, payment, conflicting times. and i've also known about 1045803498 people in the past who quickly got their problems solved within a week of classes. so don't worry, things will eventually work themselves out, and hey, you've got jamie to comfort you. and also intoxicate my boyfriend. that night chris camp fell asleep on the bathroom floor.
hey girl! wow, just checked the comments on this page and saw you here. I only got to sign up for 9 hours, but I'm gonna take classes this summer and try to focus this semester on internships and am trying out for the daily texan. How're you doing?
