So, I am sitting here at my desk thinking about how I would love to do something with writing for a career. I don't know why but it has always been the thing that has made me the happiest. However, most of the time I think I just suck at writing and everyone is better than me. But I'd like to think I'm not too horrible. I just don't know what to do

From what I've read of your writing, I can say that I think you're better than most. And I promise I'm not just saying that 'cos you're an awesome person. When I read what you write I can really see it playing out and sometimes its like I can feel what the characters are feeling. And that's not easy to do so I think you have some talent there!

Have you thought about maybe working in publishing/editing or something that could perhaps help you begin to build a career as a writer?

I feel exactly the same way. I just don't know what I'd do with it. I don't want to go into journalism, I don't want to write books and my dad would probably like freak out if I decided to do any of those things anyway, but I LOVE writing so much. It's the most wonderful feeling to just sit down and get everything all down on paper (or a Word document but WHATEVER); playing with words, getting them to do exactly what you want. It's a challenge, and I honestly think it's really hard, but there's nothing that compares to the feeling you get when you finish something. So yeah, anyway, I'll shut up now. Basically I'm all ~conflicted. *siiigh* But I still think it's an amazing skill to have and if it's what you want, then go for it girl. I'm sure you'd be fantastic. And what is this? D: I've never read any of your writing before. :( I'm gonna have to go check out your tags. ;)

Do the class! Your writing is amazing but it never hurts to get a fresh perspective on your writing from someone else. I hope you can make a career out of this bb, I kind of wanted to as well but the muse will be picky and sucky at times. So i would probably starve to death before publishing a hit seller. Lols.

I haven't read that much of what you've written yet but I think that being aware of oneself and keeping some distance to one's work isn't that wrong. You know, there are people who just write and are like "Read it, bitches, you know I'm your God" (slightly exaggerated and not meant to insult anyone :P) so I guess that your attitude is quite healthy. ;)

The longest stuff I've ever written was a horrible 1,200 words Bangel fic. *giggles insanely* After that, I've tried writing some crack!fic but 1) got stuck in the plot (ha, yes, plot!) 'cause I didn't want to go with the characters and 2) lost my motivation because of that. The latest attempts were after a pairing/prompt meme about littlest!fic and I'm still not sure what to think of them and if I should dare to post them in a f-locked entry. *shrugs*

Btw: Did you post the results from that prompt thing you posted yet? Did I miss it? D:
