As a descendant of Vikings, I personally give it a mighty seal of approval. First off, the comics are dicking around with the original mythology to begin with, so what is one more change? For the second, stop trying to use my cultural heritage to justify your fucking racist shit you fuckers.

It snapped me out of my navel gazing gloom and made me get pro-active. When my Etsy store is back up and running, I'm going to put a bit of my profit aside in support of organisations that help rape and sexual assault victims.

As for the first link...those assholes make me sad, but it also just reminds me how seriously deluded they are. If there's one thing I find difficult to imagine, it's fanboys as a whole giving up Marvel for some sort of racial call-to-arms. Plus, I'm just glad there are more ethnically diverse superheroes.

I am! Plus the actor used has already been in a few superhero movies. And also because out of all the superhero films that have been made, there are very few instances where a character isn't white, cisgendered, straight or white. And most of them tend to be male. There are one or two exceptions, but it doesn't feel like they were made or taken seriously when released.
