I think I owe you an apology; I wasn't able to say why I don't use the Esther/Rose icon often - I use it for posts about heroes and heroism, which doesn't come up around my blog that often. Not finishing that thought, I must have come off as really ungracious, when in fact, I really do appreciate the hell out of that picture. Just wanted to say.

Snatches of Beatles songs that remind you of Earthbound? What, did they just assemble eight Beatles melodies or something?

Also, Mr. Itoi, who created the Mother series, is a huge Beatles fan, and there are lots of references in the game (***terday, for instance). There's even a way you can set it up so that the main characters are named after the Beatles (Paula is Yoko, and King is Ringo...sorry Ringo).
