Take inspiration wherever you can get it

After reading an article online today, I've decided Eli's oldest brother Cooper has exactly the outlook I need right now. He was diagnosed with a spinal disease back in college and was told he could never play football again. So basically it changed his life very much the way cancer changed mine. But after reading this article, I'm kinda inspired ( Read more... )

I am on Nikki's computer and thought I would post you a message. I am so glad that you got the pictures and they brightened your day a little. We are all thinking about you all the time and we really miss you. We were at dinner when Nikki told us that she was keeping up with you by reading your journal so I decided to log on tonight. Nice to see this post!! I am assuming that you are talking about my card!! Hehe!!! I am without internet at my apartment right now but will have it again this coming week. I have lots of pics that I want to send you and I will do better at keeping up with you! All of us say HI (me, Robin and Nikki)! We miss you Lydia!
Talk to you real soon,
Leslie

Ack! I was so happy to see your reply. Of course I was talking about the card from you. Thank you SO much for sending that along with those great pics. Things like that are what I very much need these days. I like my new friends here but I really miss the ones I love back in Texas.

I'm thinking about planning another trip back in February. It'll be the week of Valentine's Day. Randall was gonna come up here for nine days but I'm gonna try to talk him into us splitting that time with me there and him here. I don't know if Nikki will still be living there but we all definitely need to try to plan something while I'm there.

Okay this is Nikki this time. :) I will copy your reply and e-mail it to Leslie and Robin. We were giving her a hard time and telling her 'what makes you think she's talking about YOUR card!?' :)

Long story short, I'm not moving to L.A., so I will be here if you come out. And we'll defnitely have to make for sure plans this time so we won't all get confused and miss one another like at Thanksgiving!

BTW, I totally thought about you at the end of the Giants game weekend before last. (Me, I'm so tired of football because Jeremy's been doing fantasy football and it got really annoying) but I was happy for you nonetheless!

I just made my journal public again so my friends like Leslie can read it now.

Looks like I'm gonna be in Arlington Feb. 11th-14th. (Although I can only make plans with Randall on the 14th for V-Day.) We need to make plans on a specific day and time this time. It sucked going home last time without seeing y'all. I'll email you my new cell number since I don't remember who all has it.

I haven't even met your husband yet! But I already like him if he got you to watch an Eli game, haha. Anyhow, I also want you and Robin to finally meet Randall.

lydia, can i just say that even though i've never even met you or had a real-time conversation with you, you're such an inspiration to me. i feel like i don't have the right to tell you this since i don't know you very well, but i will say it nonetheless. i'm proud of you. i can't hear anything about a manning, drive through tupelo, hear about arlington, or hockey players or see buffy or now even drive by hotdog records without thinking about you and smiling. and we've never met...i hope that we get to soon though. :)
