I know I know, three posts by me in a matter of a week, what is this! This is something I've wanted to do for a while but I'm such a slackerrrrr. A recent post somewhere on lj though reminded me and well it's not like I'm doing anything else though I should be. So I bring you one of those Icon Progression posts, mine spanning from 2006 to present.

Aw thank you! So nice. Everything in that last row is most recent and 89 specifically (well along with 90) I think shows me just how much I've pushed myself and stepped out of my comfort zone and based on the comments people like yourself have left on it, seems like it paid off. :3 Thanks again! ♥

Aw really? Too kind :') Believe it or not, PSP(9)! I've made the switch to PS practically every time a new version of PS CS_ comes out but in the end I keep going back. I still use it from time to time but over the years I've just been able to replicate anything that can be done in PS to PSP and I know it like the back of my hand~ soooo why fix what ain't broken, right?

That's awesome! Someone gave me a CS3 dl for my birthday, so I'm beginning to use that more and more, but I still do some things with PSP9 as well. I was so excited to get CS3 and then I began doing tutorials that were all AND THEN USE A VIBRANCE LAYER and I realized that lol I was 2 versions behind. I CAN NEVER TRULY BE GRAPHICS UPDATED!

Omg the Vibrance layer now that is a nifty tool, ngl. I think my main issue with PS is just the layout of the program and then having to learn new shortcuts that I get all UGH EFF THIS and go back lol. Ugh and don't even get me startedddd on trying to do text in PS over PSP.

Have you heard of the mini version of PS that just takes up like 100mb and it's just like the current version of PS CS5 and has all of the features we're talking about. It's called White Rabbit and I use that for when I actually do want to do something in PS. I can pass on the info if you're interested?

Looking back I'm also really shocked into how okay I was with text! I mean here I am five years later and still groan at the thought of having to deal with it on icons and just suprised how willingly I would put text on icons.

I feel like that's the case with a lot of people! I know when I first made icons, I put text on a lot of them too lol and now I avoid it as much as possible. One of the reasons being, I don't generally like icons with text (if you look at my userpics, there are very few icons with text) and secondly, i can't do it in a way that makes it look good lolol.

Right?! It's just for as long as I can remember I've always been all mumblegrumble about texts (despite being a complete font whore) but then looking back at everything together in folders, a good chunk of stuff had text. I think that's how a lot of people feel about text on icons too. So while I try to push myself a bit to include it, I don't go out of my way.

:333 Can I just really thank you btw for being a likealight icon stan for all your kind comments about my icons. Like I never told you but you probably played a big part in me feeling how I do about icons lately. Like I never had anyone tell me on a regular basis how much they liked my stuff and to see you constantly upload icons by me and to know I'm up there with some of your favorite icon makers iiiiiiiidk I get all :33333 and aklfhakjf;ajf; irl and it's given me a boost and I just really really appreciate it. OKAY CHICK FLICK MOMENT OVER LOL /AWK

it's no problem especially when I ~know you and, you know, you make great icons! IDK if you know but you're one of the makers i look to for ~inspiration and also to see what areas/techniques i can improve to become a better maker.
i'm happy you're not like 'will this girl stop already' lol :x
