[Well that's unexpected. Toph's not sure about that. "Other people" usually means "her friends" and that's only because they were fighting a war back home. Goten's not part of the war. Oh look, deck 15.]
Sweet. So... How do you train with that stuff you do, anyway?

[Hearing she bends metal isn't all that spectacular; HE can do that. It doesn't really occur to him that maybe she's talking about a different kind of bending.]
How come you call it bending? It looks like it's just floating and stuff before you punch it.

[Goten moves almost automatically; he's so happy to be free after being chained for a day that despite not eating much he feels like he can take over the world.
The rock flies toward him -how did she do that without breaking it? So cool- and Goten decides to turn, let it pass and then whirl so the back of his fist smashes into the thing instead. It shatters and the fragments don't pepper his body this time, and he giggles and bounces from foot to foot, excited.]
[Is... Is he giggling? Okay that's weird. Weird and kind of cute. Toph grins smugly. Fighting isn't supposed to be cute, but whatever. He's having fun. It's not like she's not.
She kicks at the floor. Look out Goten! There's a rock rising up behind you!]
[Yeah, she can't lie. Deal with it.]
I'm bringing fried meat-bread-sticks.
[Corndogs. What is nutrition?]

[Goten is staring at that corndog. Should he ask for it?]
Are you gonna eat that?
Reply
[Oh, the corn-dog?]
Whatever. Here, have it.
[She needs her hands free anyway.]
I mean train. You know, practise?
[And suiting actions to words, she pulls at the floor, raising a small boulder about waist high before punching it.]

Wowwww...how do you do that?! That's so cool, I never saw anybody do something like that before!
Reply
[Oh wait. They didn't exactly get very far with that 'play-fight' did they?
Toph shrugs and hits the rock again.]
Yes. I did it. It's earthbending, the same as before.
[And then, because she can't resist.]
This is nothing. I can bend metal.

They have other names for it here: Terra-sense or earth chi or whatever.
You wanna go?
[Toph kicks up another rock. Go on, hit it Goten. You know you want to.]

[Goten hops a few steps away and slides easily into a defensive stance, eager.]

He better be able to.]

Something made a sound behind him and he whirled around.]
Ooooh! You can do it from all the way over there?!
Reply
[Keeping the things where they are is harder than making them move. It's weird, but it's always been that way.]
Reply
[Goten bounces once and then throws a straight right at the center of the rock. It cracks down the middle, and spiderwebs out.]

You really like fighting, huh?
