I can only say to you, that I am glad you've had the chance to go through that... It brings it's own discomforts, but in the end they'll only have made it all the better.

I read a book, "Buddhism: Plain and Simple" once, and not until years later did the strength of the words really hit me. You put it into different words, but just as eloquently. I'm sorry your cats aren't well <3

Maybe I'll run into you someday at the bar again, but until then, keep on keepin' on.

Thank you that means a lot. I know buddhism is really great for making us recognize how much importance we put on materialistic things...or is that taoism?
Either way, thank you for you comment. I'm still in New Paltz but I'm moving to the city in June!

You're quite welcome. Well, while you're right on that count, the book tries to remove all rituals and precepts, aside from what the buddhadharma said himself. It just takes away all the things you normally think of (monks, chanting, living in a temple, etc.) and boils it down to the most basic ideas of buddhism.
Again, You're welcome :) My sister lives down there, so who knows, maybe it'll be a crazy world and you'll see me at some bar downtown lol If I weren't sick, I'd actually be down there now, out drinking... booo. :-p
