The school year is upon us! By which I mean D and I spent today rummaging through tag sales for classroom supplies. The spoils: tons of dress-up clothes (sparkles everywhere!), googly eyes, construction paper, a pair of kiddie Spider-Man flip-flops, pillows for the quiet area, and fairy wings. We also found a pretty spice cabinet. \o

Yeahhhhh. I'm sure my gift will be lovely, and also I want to show off what I made! (Really, it's mostly the latter.)

I teach preschool for a certain organization that works with low-income families! Hence the need for fabulous dress-up clothes.

And parents are always my heroes! I adore kids, but I'm definitely grateful to go home and have all after-school/weekend hours just for myself.

(Oh man, I am totally your comrade in signing up for things more for the writing than the receiving of gifts. Deadlines make me actually finish things! Plus, making the perfect gift for someone is great fun.)
