Thank you! This fic is one I would use as a personal example of how *hard* it can be to pick and arrange just the right 100 or 200 or 300 words. I worked on it for days! The first draft was easy, but after that, whew.

I haven't been worried about word count for these stories, but by shaping it the way you did each word is a punch and perfect

With this one, the word count wasn't really a difficult issue--it came out to around 200 and I liked the idea of keeping it at a double drabble, so I did a little fiddling here and there. But I really wanted the aesthetics of it to work, but for it to make sense at the same time, and reconciling those two things was not so easy. mad_jaks helped!

I finished a drabble today, though, that started out at 380 words. Getting *that* down to the right 100 wasn't easy. I was willing to let it be a longer thing if it had to be, but in this case I think it's better for being shorter.
