The car's windows were foggy, when all they had done was sit in throbbing silence.
Low visibility defeated the purpose of a stakeout, and Gwen had seen enough of Owen's lewd stick figures drawn in the condensation. She exited and marched around to his door. "This is bollocks. Come on."
He climbed out, grinning. "I saw some bushes..."
Guiltily startled by a noise, they ran hand in hand through shadows to the road's edge. Gwen slipped, and they tumbled to the ground, Owen's fingers clawing the turf beneath her.
"Anyone around?
"Just whoever's tickling my foot. Quit!"
"That's not me..."
