watched part one. Pretty good, I've always liked the actor who plays the Tin Man. There were a few bits that were... odd... but overall I like it. Although... where the flying monkeys came from... *headdesk*
I've still got 45 minutes to go in Part One - it's probably going to take me all week to finish. I think I know what you mean about the odd - I kind of expected that though. (And it being a SciFi original production, for safety's sake I went in with mediocre expectations. *g*)
I haven't seen "Tin Man", but I feel obligated to tell you that Callum Keith Rennie, AKA Ray Kowalski on Due South, is in it, playing someone named "Zero". That's it, that's all the info I got.
Really?! Oh, wait. Ray K. Okay. I was picturing Ray Vecchio and it wasn't working because so far (in my half-watching) the Zero character has given the impression of size and power, and not a particularly prominent nose. :)
Not that Ray K was huge, as far as I know, but I think he could be bulked up with big leather coats and dark shadows and camera angles.
Elf icons! *points to her own* That movie is so charming.
OMG, I am thoroughly enjoying Tin Man, in no small part due to the fact that it plays into so many of my lifelong fantasies. Hehe. And even though it's only somewhat based on the L. Frank Baum Oz-verse, it's still cool (and this is coming from a hardcore Oz-verse fan). Also, it's pretty good for a SciFi miniseries. I am excited for the rest of the series!
I agree, Tin Man seems pretty good for a SciFi Original. (Not that the cracktastic movies they make aren't awesome in their own way!) I like that it's based on, but not a remake of, the movie or book.
