Oh, this was a delight to read. Your OCs were just perfect, kids who seem real, and I loved the central conceit. Lovely,, lovely job on this.

Thank you so much for reading and commenting! I'm glad the OCs were enjoyable. I had no idea when I started that they would end up such a big part of the story, but I became really fond of them. :)

Zhivka's death brought tears to my eyes, and I was pleased that Ianto had a new vehicle for Zhivka's "sister's" soul.

The Velveteen Rabbit quote was a good touch.
