I'm only midway through S2 of Buffy, but your characters sound exactly like they do on the show--the style of talking--and moreover, if there were not actually alien squirrels on Buffy, then clearly it was simply an oversight on someone's part and there SHOULD have been.

...and suddenly I am struck with a strong desire to see Giles and Jack interacting...

Man, my brother and I listened to that "Mississippi Squirrel Revival" single so many times, I probably still know all the words! I can't believe I didn't think of that title until a minute before I hit "post."
