A bit ago, greeneyedlady and I were talking about making a mix of like... various songs we'd put on a soundtrack about ourselves. I'd been working on my own soundtrack for a bit now, and since a lot of the songs on it are also some of my favorite songs ever, I figured I'd upload them to mediafire and let folks snag them as they wish ( Read more... )

Should I feel comforted or disquieted by the fact that I had "I Am A Rock" on my soundtrack as well?

"I Am A Rock" is fabulous and so are Simon and Garfunkel. It should be on everyone's personal soundtrack, goddammit.

I really like this... I seem to become increasingly sentimental as I age. And the songs: they are lovely. I may take all of them which I do not already possess(by the by, 10+11 are the same link- sadly I scan for that without even thinking these days because I do so much of this totally legal and legit media sharing).
I shall think about mine and put it up soon.

Soooo self-indulgent, but I might do this too. I have so many songs.... XD I do up a lot of mixes for my writing projects, but I've never put together the "me" songs.

I had no idea Lily Allen had such great lyrics. Wow.

It's self-indulgent, but it's fun! You should give it a try.

I was surprised that Lily Allen had great lyrics, too. About the only song of hers they ever played consistently was "Smile" which is kinda eh by her standards. Have you ever heard "Knock 'em Out"? It's about how horrendously awkward it is trying to turn down people who hit on you in public.
