Miniature Paintings -- Mid-century Modern

Today I had my 1/12 scale miniature paintings appraised by a dollhouse collectible dealer.  It was an inspiring and interesting assessment.  Of the 24 paintings I presented, she selected 8 which she thought had the best selling potential: 2 realistics and 6 moderns.  She suggested pricing them between $250 and $500 (I never imagined pricing them ( Read more... )

Thanks! I work in acrylics on either craft wood or clay board.

Acrylics? Interesting. I can't imagine how you get that effect on the abstract.

I used a combination of light washes and direct pigment. I often diluted the paint in water and did a sort of smear.
