Part of it is my own damn fault: I drank too much coffee after dinner last night, so I was up into the wee hours sewing and watching MeTV.  Now, that's not such an awful way to spend one's time staying up too late (especially since Paul Reubens AND Jonathan Winters

Hee. I always enjoy a good "your mama" joke. Btw, they had that episode of King of the Hill on tv here last week. :)

Sadly, KOTH isn't in re-runs on broadcast TV right now (we don't have cable). I guess I could get a few seasons off of Netflix, only I've found Mike Judge cartoons do something weird to me if I watch too many back to back. Or maybe that's just Beavis and Butthead...

Oh yes, parenting would be so easy if we just let them get all lord of the flies on it... anyway, hopefully it wasn't a total disaster. I stayed up way too late as well and it was a very cranky morning in our house. Sometimes it just happens.

Nah. I mean, all that "THIS IS A SPECIAL *fill in the blank day and/or event* SO YOU BETTER WATCH IT AND BE ON YOUR BEST BEHAVIOR OR ELSE" never worked for me when I was a kid. My little brother would piss me off and then I'd scream at him and OMG YOU RUINED EVERYTHING CAN'T WE JUST HAVE ONE DAY WHERE I DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THAT MOUTH OF YOURS"

No, Parental Unit. No, we cannot.

I guess one cool thing about my daughter is that she is not a "people pleaser" in the pop-psych sense of the term:^)
