For me, it's all about urgency, and I'm not talking about trying to get through a song or anything.

A message that has urgency in it. Something that needs to be told. I think the problem with a lot of music is that people are just singing for singing sake. There's not a story that absolutely needs to be told. Thats what I look for and what inspires me, the story. I mean creative music helps but all the creative music in the world does not a good song make.
