Omg! that was so heartbreakingly beautiful. Even though I want Elizabeth to live this was just how I'd want to see her go. The end was perfect.

Hehe I'm about to change it again. I don't like the way the comments are laid out on this one.

Thanks :) I wasn't sure about the ending, I was feeling slightly less angsty about the world in general by that point. Why does writing angst/whump make me feel better? It's not logical.

I'm still trying to fandom-process the whole Elizabeth thing via fanfiction, hehe. It may take years.

*whimper* I haven't been keeping up with Atlantis spoilers, is Elizabeth going to die?
*needs her Sparky fix*

This was really beautiful though..

Sure you want to know????

.........

Robert Cooper confirmed in a magazine that Elizabeth is most definitely being written out in s4 *weeps*

I guess I'm actually hoping they either a) bring her back in s5 should it happen, but I don't see it with JM helming Atlantis (he's avid SJ and Sam fan) or b) give her a decent send off, a la Meridian.

*grumble*

Just when I was starting to get into Atlantis they have to go and write off my favorite character. *roars*

It'd be awesome if they somehow brought her back. I mean, it's Stargate, it's happened before. (ie, Daniel. I think I've lost count of how many times that guy has died, hehe)

JM's a S/J fan or SG-1? I didn't quite know which you meant..

What's up with Atlantis killing off their main characters?

Hehe, the difference with Daniel was that in Meridian, he wanted to leave and then wanted to come back. Elizabeth is being written out because she 'has' to be, apparently. We think skiffy's behind it *grumble*

JM is a Sam/Jack 'shipper - he stamped on any attempt to show a Sam/Cam AU possibility in Ripple Effect and has always supported a resolution for the pairing. He's also a massive Sam fan, so - as much as I love both female characters, I wouldn't write her sympathetically as I do otherwise - I think it's a change JM doesn't mind.

Robert Cooper apparently seemed disgruntled about the whole thing, as if he'd been left with no choice from the network etc.... *sigh*

Man, I need some denial!Sparky right now.
