Ok, no idea how this happened, i can only assume it was loose, but my F3 button on my laptop has just come off and i have no clue how to put it back on. It looks like it clips together with tiny footery things underneath, but i'll be damned if i can get them together. Anyone got any idea how to fix it?

My advice is shit, but I have been through this many times with my old laptop- persistence and patience, really. You just have to fiddle around for ages. It'll never work quite the same way again, but it can be done.

haha, better than any advice i've been giving myself, which is "toss it out the window, nem! Go on, the sickening crunch will be more satisfying than you think"

Then i remember how lost i'd be without it and control my rage issues :D

I'll give it another wiggle and hope for the best. perhaps some laptop god will be kind to me today.

i forgot to say, i could really do with gabriel right now, he could fix anything :(

I bet he couldn't fix dodgy keys- I bet he'd find some random files and throw them into a corner and then storm out. Maybe.

Having said that - what do you use the F3 key for? Gaming?

You happen to have a Dell computer? My computer has the exact same problem!
