Googled: Working Class Edwardian London, Spinning and Weaving in Edwardian London, Textile Mills in Edwardian London

...And between getting plenty of info on Victorian England and finding out that the textile mills seem to be in Lancashire, Cheshire, etc., I'm sort of stumped ( Read more... )

Are you wanting him to *continue* to be a spinner/weaver, or are you going for any job he can get, kind of thing?

Anything he can get, at this point. Considering that the Industrial Revolution won't exactly have been kind to his vocation. And he needs to stay in London (due to canon events that will involve the supporting cast of Peter Pan).

I came across this. It says Victorian Era but the Edwardian Era came right after and didn't last half as long. Jobs were likely not much different, so this should be helpful. http://www.victorianweb.org/history/work/index.html

Hat delivery or cleaning up the hatters shop.
Locke & Co, Hatters of London are the oldest Hatters in England. The company still exists and they have a fascinating website explaining the shop's history.
