The police would come to her, especially if she reports it in the jurisdiction where the crime occurred. They would take a report, take pictures, and advise her to go to the emergency room or her doctor. They would also ask her to come back in a couple days, so that pictures can be taken of the bruises when all are visible as the tissue can take time to color
