I'm working a fiction piece set in 1981 Detroit, and i'm looking for descriptive information about two pubs, the Traffic Jam and Snug, and the Old Miami from around that time. I worked in downtown Detroit at that time. Never heard of your pubs, alas, but it was a tough period economically, with inflation and high interest rates (up to 20 percent). If you had a job, you were happy to keep it. We were still listening to Disco music and Dressing for Success--at least, in the financial district.
