[ANSWERED] School Terms Used in Germany in the 60s/70s

Background: My MC's mother was born in 1956 and lived in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Question: How might she express saying that she's in a specific grade in Gymnasium? I've already asked people over in Multilingual, and they gave me a starting point. Apparently, they used to use this system ( Read more... )

Thank you. I never specified which sort of Gymnasium my MC's mother went to (I don't like using real names/places in my writing much because often it turns into a lot more hassle than it's worth). Is this the sort of thing I can sort of handwave, then?
