Questions About Gunshot Wounds & Bullet Types

Hello, I know there are lots of questions about gunshot wounds and bullet types here, and I tried everything on Google, Wikipedia and even Yahoo! Answers but I couldn't find what I exactly need, any help will be appreciated.

On painkillers---keep in mind that most over-the-counter ones will increase blood loss. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) doesn't, IIRC, but I personally have never found it to have any actual effect on pain( though that may be only my body's reaction) unless in conjunction with opiates, which I have read it intensifies.

Yes, I'm aware of that. but the problem here is that my character doesn't have access to any medical resources, that's why I asked.
