I found a very interesting book today that I thought might help some writers in this community. It's called The Writer's Guide to Everyday Life in the Wild West: From 1840-1900 by Candy Moulton.

This is just what I've been looking for! In between Hell on Wheels fics and playing in a Deadlands game, I feel like I'm all old west these days.

I love those "Writer's Guide to Life In..." books. Since my YA series is time travel, I painstakingly collected copies of all of the editions of the books (there are about 7 of them) for all of the time periods. Some of them are out of print and beastly to find! I'm a little bummed they don't seem to make those books anymore.
