The man is Soldano, the woman Aldana. They have traveled back and forth a lot especially in their youth. It's awesome that somebody actually knows the system.
A fireworks display might work. Pg. 42 of the Castille book mentions fireworks in Altamira. Not knowing if either relative is of a scientific/scholarly bent, but nobles at least would have the funds to access fireworks. And children experimenting with fireworks could always play up the risks that they took growing up...
Hmmm maybe. they will be on a boat though and the man is a scholar wanted by the inquisition so he is trying to lay low in Castille proper (its not really working).
I can't help with your question but I love that someone is still playing 7th Sea. (wait maybe I can help. I have friends who worked on several of the game books. Let me ask.)
Hi - I'm one of the people Laurie mentioned who worked on 7th Sea. So, let's see . . . we have an "enterprising" (brash) young Soldano fellow who has messed up spectacularly with his Aldana cousin. The important questions are: What does she like? What are her tastes? Does she like jewelry? (being an Aldana, she probably can get pretty much anything she likes. Is she someone who does a lot of charity work
( ... )
Nancy - I'm running the game above and I bow before you who helped with the awesomeness of the world in 7th Sea. Fangirl moment aside, great ideas I look forward to seeing what happens! :)
Just thought I'd throw out Cataleya's heritage for those reading this and know the system, I'm going to strongly deviate from the written story, but Cataleya is the oldest child of Cherie du Aldana and Don Aldana. She is full of Montaigne arrogance and the Castillian love for life - she also has Porte magic and was trained in swordplay by her father. She was kidnapped from Castille and imprisoned in Montaigne and freed by the players. She is also madly in love with a Montaigne Noble.
There is nothing typical about her and her "brother" just seriously ticked her off... he has a lot of ground to make up!
Doña Chérie de Montaigne de Aldana de Montaigne- oldest daughter of Emperor Léon of Montaigne, and wife of Don Francisco Guzman de Aldana, senior Don of Aldana province.
And Cataleya has Porte AND weapons skills AND a bad temper??? IS THE SOLDANO BOY CRAZY???? Or does he just like living on the edge?
If I were him, I'd start working on my Grovel skills along with everything else! (Oh, and if he can find a way to get an orchid pattern inscribed on that blade, he might want to do that. Sounds like Señorita Cataleya will not be a'tall interested in a commonplace blade. . .)
