They could probably get a no knock warrant which allows them to do the 'police-boom-get on the ground' rapid entry thing. Its for when they believe evidence/safety is an issue.
Absent the no knock warrant, they would have to identify themselves and show the warrant on request and prior to entering. Even with the no-knock they are expected to show it if they can do so safely.
