Don't know what Scion-style monster hunting is like, but from a Supernatural fan's POV you're off to a good start, although a sword might be a bit much unless she specifically wants the reach. A machete is typically a bit less than sword-length, but still good for taking off heads. It also works better for camping-type situations. A kukri is also good ( ... )

Supernatural is probably not a wholly inapt comparison ( ... )

Re: hair washing, it's probably a very minor and personal thing but I'm outdoors and working with animals a lot and my hair is the one thing I *do* keep clean and will wash under the tap even if I can't be arsed to have a proper bath or shower. Partly my hair feels gross and itchy much more quickly than the rest of me, partly people notice if you've got crap (or blood) smeared in your hair. The rest of you you can vaguely cover it up with a clean shirt and some deodorant.

One of my favourite RP weapons was always an axe handle. They're easily replaceable if broken, are hard enough to do a lot of blunt damage (to people, creatures and objects) and -- if your GM tends to think evilly like mine sometimes did -- aren't technically classified as a weapon so if she's pulled over on a traffic stop, the police/border-services are more likely to overlook it (oh! it's just camping equipment.) than charge her with possession and/or confiscate it. Which at least leaves you with something.

A folding shovel often proved very useful. A light-duty pocket-knife and/or multi-tool as well.

Interestingly, the toiletry item(s) a previous poster says you forgot can also double as first-aid supplies in a pinch. Especially if you also have...

DUCT TAPE. Never underestimate the power/usefulness of a roll of duct tape. You are limited only by your imagination and what the GM lets you get away with ( ... )

What can happen at a traffic stop is definitely worth thinking about. Lockable saddlebags and/or a lockable motorcycle trailer are a worthwhile investment, not only for anything she doesn't want stolen, but for anything she can't afford to have seen. On a car, cops can look through the windows but can't unlock the doors or the trunk without the driver's permission, probable cause, or a warrant.

All of this does not apply at the border. CBP can search anyone who wants to cross. A hidden compartment for the guns and ammo and bullet making tools might be a good idea.

I don't know how Mexican or Canadian police procedure works, but in the US, a working knowledge of the Fourth Amendment would serve a monster hunter well.

Actually, at this point, things have gone a bit dystopian and horrible, so--definitely locks and hidden compartments.

She'll need an axe, then. And a shovel, pocket knife/multitool, and the previously unmentioned sanitary supplies.

Duct tape, hadn't thought of that. Good idea. Likewise fishing line.

Think she'd be better off with a heavy battery-powered flashlight, or a lighter one that she can recharge on the fly?...

It probably wouldn't hurt for her to have a second way of making fire. (a third if I give her Bolster Fire)

Spare gas is a good idea.

Her cell phone can play alarm clock as needed, though she's generally not on anyone else's schedule.

Insect repellent, check.

Is there a reason other than it looking awesome that she's on a motorcycle? A car or, better yet, maybe a small 4x4 would give you more carrying space and somewhere dry and sheltered to sleep in if she couldn't find a hotel.

It just... felt right for the character.
And gave her a reasonable excuse to wear motorcycle leathers, which are the most armor-like item likely to pass unnoticed in modern social situations...

Fuel efficiency and better off-road capability? I hope it's not for the cool factor.

That too.
A *little* for the cool factor. But only a little.
