I would like to know if there's a common signpost that welcomes you when you arrive at an airport in New Zealand? If yes, what does it say? Is there a picture/drawing on it, too maybe

The airport signs are the same as you see in the UK. I don't recall any pictures or anything special, and smaller airports don't have much in the way of signage at all. When I arrived in Invercargill airport it was like a barn with a luggage carousel

I love the sky info because my character will definately look up at the stars. He's a really earthy guy so all the little details about sun, sky, dampness etc will be involved. TY again.
You're also likely to see signs warning you to throw out any fruit, cheese, or honey before you go through customs, as carrying these into the country is prohibited.
I've only been to the South Island, but the thing that struck me about New Zealand is how light the air feels there. I'm from Australia, and here the air feels heavy.
Don't remember the signs (I was ten) but when we arrived it was very light and in high summer (Feb) so it felt very warm and a bit humid, which was strange because we'd left somewhere where it was snowing.
