I can't help with most of this, but I have a plot point problem about hotels.
T. will have a really hard time getting a hotel room at 18 in most chains, unless he has a major credit card with lots of spare credit on it. Most large chain hotels (Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Best Western, Days Inn) will charge $100 per night for incidentals on a credit card, which gets released in 1 to 3 days if no charges are made, no matter the age; in some cities hotels won't allow anyone under 21 or 25 to get a room.

Thanks for pointing it out! And it's okay, any help is welcome! :D

I actually did think it could be a problem, but there was nothing stated anywhere, so I just... rolled with it, I guess. Also, T is a musician and is most of the time hopping from one hotel to another when in tour, so I just hoped it wouldn't be an issue at this point.

I did a very brief and superficial research and it seems it wouldn't be a problem if he has a credit card (which he has) and it's not graduation/spring break. Check and check. Also, some places state that the problem could be the minibar - which could be locked if someone under 21 is using the room. I guess I could work my way around it, but, again, thanks a lot for bringing this issue to my attention, otherwise I'd just look past it.

Thanks for commenting, too! :D

My daughter never has a problem renting hotel rooms on her road trips home from college. She does have a credit card in her name.

Also,as far as enrolling, I enrolled in Jr High on my own at age 11. The paperwork they sent home for my parents to sign was to forward my records. BTW, it was a spur of the moment decision. I walked out of the house on the first day of school and decided to turn right instead of left LOL.

Good to know! :D

Hahahaha, that's awesome! Is the paperwork sent home a rule? As in, would they send paperwork for parents of kids aged whatever in order to forward records?

Thanks for your help full of awesome, btw.
