The official site: istud.conservatory.ru/ ---------------------------------------------- How old would they have been when they entered the conservatory? Usually we start to study on the age of 17.
How hard would they be worked? Very hard. The Soviet education was strong. Everyone had to make entrance exams and they were extremely difficult to pass - especially in Fine Art and Music. And during the study times you had to try your very best - otherwise your're off the register soon.
What kind of non-musical education would they have received? A lot of languages, history, geography - such kind of stuff.
Where would they have slept? There are 2 dorms for the conservatory students: 1. ul. Zenitchikov, 7/3 2. ul. Doblesti, 22
Would they be treated very well for their skill, or would they feel overworked, or overly-controlled or... something else unpleasant? It's always depends on situation. Concurrency, pressure - it's the usual routine.
