Hmm, the first place I thought of was Anacostia. I'm not sure how many of that sort of hotel are around there, but it's DC and I'd have to figure there are a) a lot of hotels and b) they're mostly going to be chains.

Thanks! I haven't been able to find a hotel that fits my needs in the Anacostia area, so I'll probably just change it up a bit. Thanks again!

Don't discount the sketchiness of chains. Here in Silver Spring, the Days Inn and Travelodge on the border with the District are notorious for being where the drug dealers and prostitutes do business.

But in general, if you want shootings and drugs, go for Anacostia or Trinidad. If you just want prostitution and drugs, Anacostia. Particularly near the border with Prince George's County because of the ease of fleeing into another jurisdiction.

Thanks for the details and suggestions. Yeah, chains can be sketchy. I'll see what I can come up with. Cheers!

As others said, Anacostia. If you want to include the metro-area for drugs, go into Prince George's County into Capitol Heights, District Heights, Seat Pleasant (areas just across the line form Southeast), also Landover Hills, and areas of Laurel.

Way back in the 80s when I was a kid, we had prostitutes and drug dealers in my apartment complex in Laurel. It's only gotten worse -- you can pretty much get drugs anywhere in PG County.

A great place for prostitutes in DC is along New York Avenue between Florida Ave. and 395-south. There's a real crap motel along there that would be perfect for the by the hour. I can't remember the name of it (it's been 3.5 years since I moved), but I used to drive by every day on my commute. Many mornings I would see prostitutes walking home from there. Good times. ;-)
