Though all western bows followed a similar pattern there was huge variety between individual bows, length, poundage etc all varied from bow to bow ( ... )

This is basically fic for the new Merlin TV show on BBC. They've taken the legends of King Arthur and played around with the whole concept a bit. Which results in them using some tech far more advanced from the setting of the legends, among half a dozen other anachronisms. (like being filmed in a castle built in the 1300s, not even close to contemporary Arthurian legend time lines traditionally given) Those of which give me all that crazy leeway to play with weapons. The writers aren't exactly holding to exact history/legend, but i'm mostly after some specifics for weapons for fairly realistic battle descriptions. *grin*
