I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened my LJ and saw that you had posted something. I swear on all that's holy that I was thinking about you this past week and wondering what you've been up to. When I think of you I'm immediately transported back to when you were first writing and posting Denial and to the complete joy we all felt when we saw there was a new chapter. What an awesome story

First, you are, as always, very kind about Denial. I'll never forget your lovely reviews.

As regards retiring, I think you're right - If the people you work for are good and you enjoy the work, it's nice to be able to stay. My dad retired (well, he was made redundant at the age of 59, and is unlikely to find another job) a few years ago, and he is really enjoying retirement. But if you are happy where you are, I agree you should stay.

Ah, it's really so nice to be in touch again. My agent is continuing to search for a publisher on my behalf, and she continues to believe in me, so that's something. There have been times when I've been terribly down about it all, but at the end of the day, I love writing, and will continue to write while I can.
