I suppose that people think that when an author pulls down his/her stories from the archives, that they won't be around the fandom anymore (to check on their behavior... grr...). Obviously, this is not always the case. :)
Glad she wrote to you. I just read the whole thread about it. I wish things like that wouldn't happen, but they do, and yes, I know how it feels to lose tabs on things. Haha. I have so many translated stories out there somewhere. I sometimes wish I knew all those languages so I could go read the comments or just to see if anything was chaned in the story. At the end of the day, however, I just don't have the time.
Yeah, it's impossible to keep tabs on everything, especially the translations. I wouldn't even have known about all the handouts going on if LJ friends hadn't given me the heads-up!
