Chapter 188: Not Who I Thought
*Roxanne visits Kiki at “The Sweet Shoppe”*
Kiki: Hi, Roxanne!
Roxanne: I talked to Ronan; he said you might have some things for me?
Kiki: Oh…yes…I have them in the back…
Roxanne: Normally Ronan brings my things to me once you get them.
Kiki: Hmmm…he probably doesn’t want to talk to me right now.
Roxanne: Did you have a fight?
Kiki: In a manner of speaking.
Roxanne: What happened? You seemed to be getting along so well.
Kiki: *sigh*
Roxanne: You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want.
Kiki: It’s okay, it might be nice to talk to someone…it’s just…embarrassing.
Kiki: I’m very…attracted…to Ronan. I guess that’s not much of a secret. I thought we were getting along, too, but for a while I knew something was bothering him…something that was keeping us from really connecting. The closer we got the worse it became.
Kiki: He finally told me the other day. In not so many words he said I’m not good enough for him and that it would never work out.
Roxanne: What?!?
Kiki: *shrugs and tries not to look as humiliated as she feels*
Roxanne: Oh, Kiki…I’m so sorry! Ronan is being ridiculous.
Kiki: Maybe so, but I can’t make him like me if he doesn’t. And there is a shallow side to him I never saw until now…he’s not who I thought he was. I’d rather know who he really is instead of continuing to like someone who doesn’t exist. But I am disappointed.
Roxanne: Oh dear…I wish things could be different.
Kiki: *sigh* So do I…even after everything I still sort of like him. I’m so dumb…
Roxanne: It’s not dumb. And the two of you are still working together on my wedding, right?
Kiki: Yes, as far as I know…
Elsewhere…
Annike: Hey, Lucas! I haven’t seen you in a while. What’s up?
Lucas: I have something to show you.
Annike: Okay…
*Lucas holds up a piece of paper*
Annike: What is it?
Lucas: You have to read it, Nika. Look closer.
Annike: *leans in closer to read it and gasps* Lucas! Your diploma!
Lucas: *smiles widely* Yep, I got it done…thanks to you.
Annike: *sincerely* I’m so proud of you.
Lucas: *shrugs*
Annike: What are you going to do now?
Lucas: I’m staying here, remember? I have a job and I’m going to start teaching private guitar lessons on the side.
Annike: You should find a band, Lucas…really.
Lucas: Are you trying to get rid of me?
Annike: I just want you to be happy.
Lucas: I am happy. And speaking of guitar lessons, I owe you some, remember?
Annike: Fine. Now that you are done with school we can do the guitar lessons.
Lucas: Promise?
Annike: Yes…finally.
Lucas: This is going to be fun.
Annike: I’m sure.

I'm having one of those days...
First, if you are a member of my forum, House of Pullip, please be advised that for a variety of reasons I've had to make a new forum which is now located here: http://timidity.org/hop
I will be deleting the old forum in about a week...and right now it's broken (nice timing, huh?). This time it is totally not my fault, it's a server issue. I just found out how I can probably fix it, but I won't be able to get to it for a few hours probably. Thanks for understanding.
Second, more website issues...I wanted to blog about my broken forum on my domain's blog because lot of my forum members know to check there if something goes wrong. That's when I discovered my blog is also broken. They did server maintenance over the weekend and something probably got messed up then. However, this is a much bigger problem and I have no idea how to fix it right now. I'm really upset because I just don't need this right now. *sigh* It's just another thing to add to my list of "things to do", which seems to get bigger instead of smaller. When I'm done here I'm going to just go away from my computer for a while...that last thing I need to do is stay here and find more problems. :P
On a side note, I finally joined DoA. Trying to figure out everything there is a bit mind boggling, heh. :P
