Chapter 178: Starts and Stops
*Rayna and Nicholai have just ended a practice together*
Nicholai: That was fun…as always.
Rayna: Yes. Thank you.
Rayna: …
Nicholai: …
Rayna: Um…I have to go to work.
Nicholai: Oh, okay. I’ll…uh…see you later then?
Rayna: Sure.
*Rayna starts to leave*
Nicholai: Rayna…wait…
Rayna: What is it?
Nicholai: I was wondering…will you go out with me again? I’d really like to.
Rayna: *smiles* I’d like that. I was…wondering when you were going to ask me out again.
Nicholai: I wasn’t sure you’d want to go after last time.
Rayna: Oh…I want to…
Nicholai: …
Rayna: …
Nicholai: You aren’t going to be late, are you?
Rayna: Oh…work…I really should go.
Nicholai: I’ll see you soon.
Rayna: *smile*
Elsewhere…
*Sebastian is tired of Paige avoiding him, so he has sought her out to make her talk…*
Sebastian: Paige, we should talk now.
Paige: I told you, I don’t want to talk to you.
Sebastian: Yes, but…
Paige: No, now is not the time.
Sebastian: I cannot tolerate our relationship continuing in this way.
Paige: Well, too bad!
Sebastian: *sigh*
Paige: Go away.
Sebastian: You leave me no choice…if you will not speak to me then I must end our relationship.
Paige: What? Just like that?
Sebastian: If you won’t speak to me and try to resolve our difficulties then what choice do I have? The torment is unbearable.
Paige: I can’t believe you are doing this after everything else you’ve done!
Sebastian: Everything that I have done? That is very unfair…
Sebastian: You confused me into thinking you wished for me to pursue a relationship with another woman. You continue to remain angry with me when I contemplated it and you are punishing me although I have never been unfaithful to you! To make things worse you are now punishing your sister for siding with me.
Paige: You…you…just don’t get it…why are you doing this?
Sebastian: I think you know why.
Paige: *sniff* Just…go away…
Sebastian: Then you wish it to be over?
Paige: I don’t know what I want…
Sebastian: I am sorry. I will leave you alone to give you time to figure that out. I do love you…that has not changed.
Paige: *no response*
Sebastian: I must accept that perhaps you no longer love me.
Paige: *still no response*
Sebastian: Are you really going to just allow me to leave…like that?
Paige: *slowly nods*
Sebastian: *sigh* Then so be it. If you ever cease being angry with me, please tell me…I will want you back.
Paige: Just…go…
*Sebastian reluctantly leaves*
Paige: Maybe this is for the best…?

All I can say for now is poor Sebastian is not having a very good time right now... :(
Whoa...a non-dolly photo!
This is a Blue Bonnet, the Texas state flower. It's a wildflower actually and this is the time of year they bloom. They carpet entire lawns on blue and purple...it's really pretty. We have a small crop in our backyard (among a bunch of weeds :P), but I love Blue Bonnets so I had to take a photo.
However, I do have some dolly photos, too... :P
Ainsley likes the Blue Bonnets, too, heh. :P
Here she is sitting atop our Mexican Heather (a cute, hardy little plant with perpetual purple flowers).
Here she is checking out some Marigolds we planted in our front yard last week. I'm totally not a gardener...by any means...but the flowers are pretty.
