Chapter 59:
Roxanne: I was looking for your after work the other day but you disappeared. Where were you?
Shiloh: *blush* Oh…I was with Hawk again.
Roxanne: Again? He didn’t take you up in his airplane again, did he?
Shiloh: No, this time we were just in the kitchen.
Roxanne: The kitchen? What were you doing in there?
Shiloh: Cooking, silly! What else?
Roxanne: It just seems so different from what you’ve normally done with him.
Shiloh: It was, but it was still fun. We worked on a new recipe together that I wanted to try. He said he was a terrible cook, but he’s not. Then we got in a flour fight and made a big mess. The human lady made us clean it up, but we were laughing the whole time. *smiles at the memory*
Roxanne: It does sound fun, I’m so glad you two are friends.
Shiloh: He’s a very good friend. I like spending time with him.
Roxanne: *looking closely at Shiloh* Do you know your face lights up when you talk about him?
Shiloh: *blush* It does not!
Roxanne: Yes, it does. If you like him, it’s okay.
Shiloh: Roxanne, I already told you, I do like him but we are just friends, I promise!
Roxanne: Well, I thought Wolfgang was just my friend, too, but now I’m going to marry him.
Roxanne: Really, it’s not like that. Speaking of Wolfgang, have you set a wedding date yet?
Roxanne: Are you trying to change the subject?
Shiloh: Maybe…the wedding date?
*Roxanne doesn’t want to stop discussing Hawk, but lets it slide*
Roxanne: We are getting married next June, but we don’t know the exact day yet.
Shiloh: That’s a long engagement.
Roxanne: We aren’t in a rush.
Elsewhere…
Grace: It’s a beautiful day, we should go do something.
Jonas: How about I take you to meet my best friend?
Grace: Sure, I’d like that.
*Rayna is practicing with her sword*
*Jonas and Grace enter*
Jonas: Hi, Rayna!
Rayna: Jonas, I haven’t seen you for a while, how are you?
Jonas: I’m fine. I want you to meet Grace. Grace, this is Rayna. She’s my best friend.
Rayna: It’s nice to meet you Grace, I’ve heard a lot about you. *winks*
Grace: *blush* It’s nice to meet you, too. Wow, is that a sword?
Rayna: Yes, I teach over at the fencing school.
Grace: That’s incredible!
Rayna: *smiles*
Rayna: Jonas, it’s nice to see you happy again.
Jonas: Thanks for putting up with me, but I’m better now.
Rayna: I’m sure Grace is making you very happy.
*Jonas and Grace blush, but they are pleased*
Jonas: Now we just need to find a nice man for you.
Rayna: Oh…no. That’s not necessary.
Jonas: Come on, there must be someone around here to suit you. You helped me so maybe I can help you.
Rayna: No way, Jonas, I don’t want any help. There is someone that I find attractive but they are completely unavailable so I don’t even want to go there. It’s best if I just keep my distance. I have bad luck with love anyway…maybe I’m better off alone…
